We had a great visit this past weekend in Paso Robles for the 2016 Harvest Weekend.  The weekend began on Friday afternoon with The Grand Tasting of The Cabs of Distinction event held at the Allegretto Resort.

Some of our favorite Paso wineries including Daou Vineyards, Opolo Wines, and Brecon Estate were pouring their delicious Cabernet along with some surprise blends.  We had the chance to meet and greet with winemakers thanks to the event’s intimate size and rare access to some of the area’s most well-known including Daniel Daou.  As often happens, we came across a few surprises while tasting including a small but wonderful little winemaker team of Jim and Azmina Madsen of The Farm Winery  The Madsens poured us their LPF and Cardinal wines and they were both delicious!
